Feeling Blue

Bralet - PPZ
Bottoms - PPZ

Pretty underwear has become one of 'those things' for me. Browsing through instagram or whilst out shopping, there's something about that delicate embroidery or matching laciness that I'm drawn to. What you wear underneath your outfit can help you feel that bit more put together, something that I need every ounce of help with that I can get.
This PPZ set is in my absolute favourite shade. Just before black, midnight blue retains the same effortless chic that goes with just about everything. Plus, the bralet has sparkles. What's not to like?

Back to Black

Jumper - Zaful
Trousers - Primark
Hat - Missguided
Bag - Gamiss
Boots - Dresslily

Predictable maybe, but you can never go wrong with an all black outfit. Although my last post highlighted the joys of a little brightness in your wardrobe, black will continue to be the foundation and the base to embellish with those little jewels of colour.
Regardless, I feel uber badass, and that's really all that matters.

This jumper is the staple I never knew I needed. I (obviously) possess closets full of black clothing, but not a simple black jumper which is practical for the winter season. The eyelet tie detailing on either side gives it that extra something to add a little interest to an outfit.

This bag very quickly became my work bag as it's that perfect mix of professional before it becomes a briefcase. It's super chic and the minimal silver hardware means it's appropriate for any occasion.

My firm favourite of my newly gifted black items however, has to be these boots. I'm pretty sure they don't need an introduction (just look at them!); give me stud detail and pointed toes and I cannot resist.

Which piece would you wear?

Winter Brights

Jumper - Gamiss
Trousers - Primark
Boots - Dresslily
Bag - Gamiss

Jumper - Gamiss

Lingerie set - Gamiss

Top - Zaful
Trousers - Primark
Jacket - NineLives
Boots - Dresslily

Whilst I'm all for a wardrobe of muted nudes and greys, winter is an ideal opportunity to inject a little colour back into the palette.

This jumper is potentially one of my absolute favourites. That geometric print against the khaki backdrop is perfect for the season and is something different amongst my existing knitwear. The fact it's actually practical and warm is merely a bonus.

Obsessing over pretty underwear at the moment and this set is an ideal addition to my collection. Incredibly delicate, yet perfectly detailed, I was very impressed by the quality of the set and how comfy it is. The perfect gift to find in your Christmas stocking (there's definitely an undergarment pun in there somewhere.)

Give me a statement t combined with a Joy Division lyric and I'm sold. The back of this super cute crop is sheer and is ideal for pairing with a high waisted skirt or beloved bomber for that much needed pop of colour. Though I'm pretty sure it'll be the game of monopoly that tears us apart this festive season.

Which is your favourite piece?

Rose tinted

Photos by Darrell K Morris
jumper - H&M
jeans - Primark
hat - Missguided
shoes - Lightinthebox

Just a few of my favourite images taken during a lovely shoot from the summer - that seems like an eternity ago. St George's Hall and the Walker Art Gallery are such amazing settings, and when they become part of the daily scenery, you forget how amazing they are. As much as I enjoy living back home, there's just something about a city that I miss. The consistent flow of people, every day being unexpectedly different and being able to hear tipsy Liverpudlians serenading me beneath my flat window. Like a modern day Romeo and Juliet, except the only poison involved was Jagermeister.

Where's your favourite place?

P.s. I thought I should probably mention that St George's Hall also has a starring role in Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. A brilliantly magical film which I was lucky enough to have been a part of last year. 4 days spent in 1920's cocktail dresses? Don't mind if I do.

Nine Lives

Jacket - Nine Lives
Top - Nine Lives
Trousers - Primark
Boots - ebay

Nine Lives is one of those cool brands. You know the ones that are understated but make a statement, that look like you've made an effort but only take a minute to throw on.
So naturally, when you're asked to test out a super cool brand, you can hardly refuse.
The t shirt is a lovely and soft simple piece. Something to easily dress down with jeans and leather jacket or up with a skirt and heels. One of those staples that I'm always in need of, especially when the quality is this good.
My heart however, truly belongs to this jacket. I feel like I'm waiting for my motorbike riding boyfriend outside a dimly lit motel, ready to drive off into the sunset singing aerosmith. The patchwork and embroidery is just the right amount of detail, to make that simple outfit underneath look instantly badass.
If you're in search of a rock&roll statement t shirt or jacket, I highly recommend a click through Nine Lives, especially as the festive season is just around the corner.
Merry Christmas to me.

Boohoo; dress of the month

dress - Boohoo
boots - New Look
hat - Missguided
bag - vintage

I'm a complete advocate of trying new things. Food, places and music genre. Clothes though, I tend to stick to what I know.
But when I was contacted by Boohoo to style up a dress I hadn't picked, I was intrigued. The idea of trying something new seemed really appealing and I was actually pleasantly surprised by the outcome.
It's part of their Dress of the Month campaign ft. new bloggers and new outfits each month. Trying something new has made me think a little differently about picking outfits a little out of my comfort zone.
Inspiration for this outfit comes from my summer dreams of road-tripping around America, shielding my eyes from the sun and spending evenings in smoky bars and watching the sky.
I'm looking forward to a browse and seeing where abouts another outfit will take me (hopefully there'll be sun.)

Would you let someone else pick an outfit for you?

Fashion fades StyleWe is forever

jumper - StyleWe
jeans - Zara
coat - H&M
bag - vintage

jacket - StyleWe
trousers & top - Primark
boots - Lightinthebox

Remember when I got that skirt? That was all courtesy of a little website called StyleWe, or more accurately, a little slice of fashion heaven. An Aladdin's cave of designers with an absolutely huge range of styles.
So obviously, when they offered to collaborate, I couldn't wait to dive in and pick out some pretty pieces.

This jumper very quickly became a staple within my wardrobe. So simple, but that little pop of green on the back adds just enough to make it a really interesting piece. I'm really enjoying little touches of colour in my desaturated wardrobe to give outfits that much needed lift.

Oh my word, I cannot get enough of this jacket. I spotted a velvet blazer in Primark when I was hunting for Halloween attire last week and so have been ahem, crushing on velvet ever since. This jacket is one of those throw-it-over-your-most-boring-outfit-and-make-it-instantly-amazing pieces. A true statement gem and it's black so I obviously am infatuated.

Would you wear either of these pieces?
